Do you need to be there on the day?

Generally for decluttering and organisational work, this does require clients to be around on the day to make decisions on what items are going to be kept, sold or go to charity. There are other projects that need less client input, such as moving home or complete clearances. For businesses, clients will need to be available on the day to work through paperwork and understand the new system of organisation.

Emotional clearances

We understand that a lot of projects can be emotional, whether sorting personal items after a bereavement, life getting on top of you, or an emotional house move. We will understand your situation and go at the pace you feel comfortable. We will not force any decisions, you will guide us with how you want the project to run.

Project cost

Each project is unique which is why Call Rosie works on an hourly basis. Based on the initial conversation, I will estimate the number of hours that should be required. However, if more time is needed, this will be discussed and any decision to extend the length of the project will be agreed with the client before incurring any additional costs to what was originally estimated.

Giving unwanted items to charity 

One drop off to one Charity Bank / Shop is included in the fee provided all the items are available to be handed over to Call Rosie at the end of the project. You can choose a local charity to donate your items to, but in the event they are not taking donations, Call Rosie will select one that aligns with your original request as closely as possible.

Selling unwanted items

Call Rosie can assist in posting items on marketplaces while engaged on the project and the client will be responsible for posting the items out to the buyers. 

If assistance is needed to sell items after the project, and Call Rosie posts items on behalf of the client, 50% commission on each item will be payable to a maximum of £15 per item and Call Rosie will be responsible for posting each item. The maximum charge per item reflects the time to prepare each item ready for sale, posting the advert, packing and travel to the parcel collection point.

A set time limit to sell items will be decided and once this is reached, I will contact the client to see if they want to give the item to charity.

Garden Clearance

The disposal of garden waste at the recycling site will incur an additional cost and will be charged on top of the hourly rate. The cost will cover what is charged by the recycling site for Call Rosie to dispose of the waste.  The travel costs for one trip, to go to the recycling site, is free of charge.
